THE RAZZIES
Sequels and remakes have come in for derision in the Razzie Award nominations. The Razzies annually recognise the "worst" films and actors, revelling in how bad movies can be. The awards organisers have dubbed 2005 "a very bad year for movies", making it a good year for the Razzies.
Worst actress nominations included Jessica Alba for Fantastic Four and Into the Blue, Hilary Duff for Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and The Perfect Man and Jennifer Lopez for Monster in Law. Last year's awards were dominated by the adaptation of Catwoman, starring Halle Berry. Berry was only the second star in Razzies history to turn up and collect her award in person.
